The Theatre Library is a loan platform for performance recordings available for CDAEM users. Online loans are free, limited in time and non-profit.

The operation of the Theatre Library is similar to that of a public media library, with a limited number of copies of each work and a system to book recordings.

The goal of the Theatre Library is to be used as a resource by teachers, students, researchers and professionals, as well as amateurs of performing arts who need or wish to see shows from its catalogue, which includes a selection of over 40 years of the history of performance in Spain, recorded by the Audiovisual Technical Unit of the INAEM. All works in the Theatre Library catalogue belong to the audiovisual archive of the CDAEM.

In its catalogue, the Theatre Library includes recordings of classic and contemporary plays of every genre; it also includes plays for children and young adults and a series of accessible recordings for persons with visual and hearing impairments.
